The Entertainers Music School is a private music studio that strives to develop performance, literacy and musicianship skills in its students.  Its motto is ‘It is learned for the benefit of all’ and is directed by Maureen Clement.  The school has been in existence since 1980.  Many persons have passed through its doors and have developed their musical skills. Some continue to perform, some to teach and others to support worthwhile musical endeavours.

The Studio supports personalised learning and students are taught mostly one-on-one.  Lessons are provided either virtually or in-person at the studio only, and all students are expected to possess their own instruments.

At present we offer instruction in guitar, piano, recorder, steelpan, violin and voice

OUR MISSION is to engender the skills of accuracy, expressiveness and showmanship in all students

TEACHING PHILOSOPHY: EMS holds the view that all persons are musical.  We are all born with an instrument – the voice and therefore we should all be making music.  We strive to provide each student with the tuition and support they need to develop the musical talent that lies within them.

LEARNING GOAL: Each student should move to a higher music level annually

OUTCOMES: We sit practical and theory examinatons, perform at recitals and concerts, compete at competitions and festivals and entertain the community.

CURRICULUM: Varied but including music literacy and playing by ear.
